Minister for International Development Cooperation, Sweden
Peter Eriksson is the new Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the previous Swedish Government Peter Eriksson had the position of Minister of Housing and Digitization. Peter Eriksson has also been a member of the European Parliament and a member of the Swedish Parliament. During his time as a member of the Swedish Parliament he served as a president of the Committee on the Constitution. Additionally, Peter Eriksson has also been one of two spokespersons for the Swedish Green Party during 2002-2011.
"I stand up for every woman’s, girl’s, man’s and boy’s right to decide over her or his own body. Working for everyone’s full enjoyment of sexual and reproductive health and rights remains a number one priority for Sweden. We will continue our extensive support, for example by funding initiatives for safe and legal abortions, contraceptives and comprehensive sexuality education”, says Peter Eriksson.
